An Islamic cultural centre of this size is definitely needed in Ireland. There are only a few buildings that actually have adequate permissions for use as a place of worship by Muslims. The majority of the places used for prayer gatherings are either in a rented residential house (detached and semi-detached) and warehouses that are usually not very suited for the purpose. But worshippers adapt and continue to work towards a good future for themselves, their families and for their communities.
This project also has many positive aspects about it. There is a big park not too far from it. There is DART/railway station within walking distance. The project includes a school, swimming pool, gym, restaurant/cafe, which I am guessing will be open for the public.
The prospects are very good so long as we don't have any sensational manoeuvres by the media, politicians, people or even Muslims themselves. We look forward to it.
